The weather

Was ist blos mit dem australischen Wetter los. Seit 2 Wochen Wolken, wenig Sonne und immer wieder Sturm und Regen.

Gestern abend ein heftiger Thunderstorm und heute sinnflutartiger Regen. Gut das es wenigstens warm ist. Das Bild enstand gestern nachmittags nach Flucht in eine Garage.

Got homesick - the WYD

Today when I saw a lot of youngsters with German flags I got homesick. I think because of the World Youth Day there are masses of Germans in town. Yesterday I saw already a group of them on Wynyard station and today lots of them in the streets as well.
The whole George street is closed and today I walked on the street to work, what a experience! For me it could be more often like that :-)

When I saw all this flags I got homesick, it will probably not hold for very long but it was a very melancholic minute. I wished I would be twenty once more and being part of this movement.

There can be just one winner

I have heard from somebody else that one of the guy which the police arrested at the end of the last game (see movies) was forced by the police to pay $200 OR leaving Australia. The guy who told us said he only run on the street.

Sarah, Regina and a long night

Met Sarah and Regina, two Germans at the Establishment last weekend. Sarah lives in Sydney already for 8 years and Regina is currently doing some Au Pair.
After the Stabi closed at 3 we went to Darling Harbour and further to the Casino which still was open. I had to to realize once more that Sydney isn't a big city in this matter.
Unfortunately (or luckily) I am not a gambler therefore got tired very quickly. We went home around 6 AM. I think I havent been out for such a long time for ages.
One reason was surely my nice companionship, but build your own opinion :-)

Sorry, sorry, sorry

I am very very sorry. I know that I disregard this Blog but at the moment when I find some spare time I spend it on my own Internet project. This project is my ambition to found my own business.

I am already working on that project half a year and now going online is very close. Therefore I nearly need every free minute for it. Its very bad because I already made lots of pictures which you can't see because they are not uploaded. A shame I know.

But I promise, when I will have more time again I will upload the stored pics at least.

Australia Day

I had to work on Australia Day. But before I went with Antje and Claudie to Hyde Park where some of the main events happened.
The inner city was closed for cars and so we could walk from Hyde Park to The Rocks watching at some Oldtimer Exposes, different stalls, Music Groups etc.
